Yes!! They wanted to shout at him, plead him to get them upstairs! Their eyes were closed, they were shaking, trying to get away from him… They couldn’t think straight. They couldn’t think at all. Their eyes opened again, but they weren’t the bright, sparking green they usually were. Instead they were, once again, pitch black. And before the leaves on their shoulders could even appear, they had already uncovered their mouth and grabbed ave’s shoulders, dragging him closer to them. Then they bit his neck.
Ave looked confused too. Had he noticed that he was acting strangely. Jay’s brain was getting incredibly foggy, as if someone had decided to stuff it with cotton. They stood up again, still covering their mouth, as if they’re trying to stop themself from breathing too hard. They were dizzy, so dizzy. “I..I think I’m going, to-- uh.” They could not find their words, it was getting hard to talk. They wanted to head upstairs and lie down for a century or two. But they just c ould n’t bring themself to. The only thing on their mind was their hunger at the moment. They stared blankly at Ave.
How in the world were they supposed to process this information. They sat down at the table, ignoring his words for now, covering their mouth and nose with their hands. What do?? There was something wrong with Ave and they did not know how to fix it. And yet again, they couldn’t help but notice the subtle underlying background noise of wrongness. Did that have something to do with it? It seems to happen a lot around Ave. They had the feeling they should’ve recognized this from another place, but their memory was foggy at the moment. “Yeah, I’d like some bacon.” They replied, a solid minute too late. They hesitantly looked at Ave again, who was currently working on getting everything ready to prepare the meat. …That brought their mind onto a previous topic again, why were they hungry? And from what they could assume with their limited experience, it wasn’t a normal kind of hunger either. They were craving liquid too for some reason? Eh, whatever. They’ll have sustenance soon. Maybe just try to focus on something else for now.
They nervously held the bag as Ave took a glance at it. Not really sure what to do. He apologized and turned back to the cabinet, mentioning something about plant based snacks... wait. Something hit them. Why were they hungry? They hadn’t been hungry in years. How did they immediately recognize it as hunger? ... How did Ave know that they couldn’t handle plant-based foods that well. Why was he talking about Static so casually? Why was he talking like Static lived a normal life with him? With... with them? ...he was talking to them like they and Static were siblings. But they never had been. .........,,
You might've previously known us simply as "Parda", but we decided to just be upfront about our pluralness -- if you're confused about what that means. Check this thread Otters have made! (If you're curious still, here's another handy link.)
Here's an introduction of us all
The little bolded letters you sometimes see in our forum posts are in reference to who's talking.
