Happy New Year!
Posted on December 31, 2018Thank you all so much for a wonderful year of growth and beta testing! Tattered Weave would not be what it is today without your feedback and support. We are hopeful that this will be the last year of beta, as 2019 will be jam-packed with major feature updates!
To start off our celebrations with a bang, the shop timer has been eliminated so you can purchase items without ANY wait time in between! This will go on from midnight to midnight in Central Hope Time (which you'll see on the sidebar).
In those same shops, you may notice a special change for the new year. Everyone who has a Kith now has their Kith featured in the artwork of their shop - even Othidar, who hasn't specifically Allied with any Kith, has a few Solitary Kith wandering around to see!
The next few updates will take us some time to implement, so over the course of this special first day of 2019 you will see these being added by our Staff.
Daily and Hourly Quests will now have overviews added to quickly summarize what is required and rewarded, to better guide new players toward Quests they want to complete and help them decline ones they're not interested in.
Each Character in Hope will also have an introductory Unique Quest to better acquaint themselves with new users and give those newbies a helping hand with plentiful Shards and items. Old users can also complete these Quests for some exceptionally good rewards!
Those same Characters in Hope will also have special 0 Reputation Hourly Quests that only occur if a user has started out or dropped back to 0 Reputation. These Quests are designed to be a helpful refresher of the Characters and site features for newbies who may not find the Unique Quests page right away, or who leave and come back surprised to find their Reputation has dropped. The rewards for these special Quests are slightly better than normal, and their requirements are made to be as easy as possible, so that our new users have a good first impression of the Quest system.
Speaking of Quests, I was reminded yet again by my fellow Staff members that two of our Site Contest winners still hadn't fairly received their design rewards. So Nicholas will soon offer the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Quest that was designed by Elfy, and Piper will be selling the Deluxe Dice Set that was designed by Hearticorn! Give them another round of applause and Cheers for those winning entries!
