Sunken Dollie by Gryphling won the Avatar Spotlight! Sure she's soggy, she's got algae in her hair, and there are fish nibbling on her stuffing, but all this doll really needs is a little love!

New Items: SHIVERS!

Hey Travelers, a little bunny told me you are all gearing up for some spooky season called like, Halloweave? Sounds horrible, I love it. Even better, just thinking about scary stories set in your Remnant got me all inspired between boarding up the doors in the castle before the 13th hits. I stayed up all night to write down the best ideas based on some of the strange happenings I've heard about Hope. I wouldn't say my research was the most, like, in depth or whatever, but this is just meant to be some exotic playful terror for all the ankle-biters in Wolf's pack! Witch seemed to enjoy them, anyway.

Site Contest: September 2018

Okay, cast and crew, it’s call time! Today the curtain rises on the Craft and Writing Contests - and you’ve only got until September 23rd to get enough Cheers from the audience to win your place In the Spotlight! (Dramatics aside, it’s an Achievement. And also some prizes; the Spotlight T-Shirt and Spotlight Showcase.)

Anyway, you better follow the rules or I’ll get out the Vaudeville Hook and disqualify you. The theme or whatever is “creative horrors” so like, what I want to see is something clever when it comes to what spooks you. Or maybe like, what makes you feel brave in the face of terror? I don’t know, just gimme something interesting to work with! You’re all getting ready for that, what’s it called, Halloweave party, right?

Though, with Thursday the 13th coming up… I’m not sure what The Slasher will do without The Narrator here… he’s always been sooo impossible to direct… Well, whatever. Plot twists are fun!

Feedback Forum

What, another Forum Feedback? Yup! My brain was struck by lightning and I had another potential idea for Custom Items I wanted to run by you all.

1. We really want to encourage and support all the artists who help make the site even bigger and better with their artwork! So, while I was thinking about how best to make that happen, either with bundles or being able to re-purchase your submissions or something, I came up with the idea of split sales: every time a user buys your custom item, the submitting user gets a 50% cut. This means your items have some real longevity and can help you make back those Shards and Gems!

This would obviously incentivize making Premium items over non-Premium items, so we’re thinking of setting a simple ratio to help keep things balanced in the store - something like for every 3 non-Premium submissions, you can have 1 Premium submission. The admin(s) reviewing your submissions would still be able to reject items with a note explaining why your submission wasn’t accepted, because we want our Premium items to be high quality, but I’ve seen some of the artwork on here and I’m eager to find out what you can come up with! What do you think?

2. Also, regarding credit (continued from this thread): what do you think about a standardized format in the Description that can be slightly tweaked for the different situations? Something like “Designed by [artist username/s]” if it’s just the one artist submitting it for themselves, then add “and submitted by [username/s]” if it’s being submitted by a user other than the artist.

Please let us know your ideas or any questions in this thread!

Feedback Forum

Good news, everyone! Custom item submissions are open and working smoothly! You can submit your Custom Clothing Submission as soon as it's ready. Club and I will be reviewing the items as they come in, so you should receive your copy within a week of submitting during the month of September! Past that, we will likely be doing reviews once or twice a month.

A question that was sent to me privately was that of credit, and I want to get your feedback. How would you like to see credit for custom items? For example, all of our Kickstarter items have "Designed by [username] on Kickstarter" included in the item's description. Since you, the one submitting the item, get to write the description, my inclination is to let you write your credit however you prefer - this would also allow for special cases like collaboration and shared assets to give fair credit as the submitter sees fit, and would take a step off the admins reviewing the items. Thoughts? Opinions?

As always, we really appreciate all the wonderful help you all are in making Tattered Weave the best it can be!
